Is there a recommended age for Nima users?
Nima is designed to be simple and easy to use for anyone in the family, although we recommend children be supervised by an adult to establish good testing habits.
There is some hand strength required to fully close the capsule. Nima is working on ways to make this easier, but this might be a factor in a child's ability to use Nima, and is another reason we recommend adult supervision.
Can my child take Nima to school?
If your child knows how to use Nima on their own, it should be fine for them to take it to school as long as the school will allow it. We recommend children be supervised by an adult when using Nima. If your child will be using Nima at school, we advise doing a full review of how to use the device and limitations with their teacher.
Should I give Nima to my child’s teacher/daycare/nanny?
Nima can be used by anyone as long as they have read the instructions and are aware of limitations.
It's up to you if you want someone else to carry Nima for your child. You'll also have to ask people at schools or daycare if they are willing and able to use it, as individual school policies vary.
